Meet Kassandra, my very own, personal Yoga instructor 😉 She invited me to join her 30 days Yoga challenge and as of this morning, I’m on day 4! I’m super excited as I never went through with a morning routine before.
Let me explain how it works: Each day starts with a 10 minutes Yoga exercise, targeting a certain area of the body. Once you finish, you are invited to participate in a 5 minutes Meditation session full of positive affirmations, which are basically sentences you use to remind yourself of your worth and inner power. You also receive one specific affirmation for the day. A good intention, that is meant to accompany you managing your little everyday struggles. Today, I reminded myself that “I have all the answers inside me.”
Personally, I decided to commit myself to the 10 minutes of Yoga only, as I know baby steps go a long way. Still, I end up not only participating in the extra mediation also, but most of the days I add a couple of Pilates exercises for my core and legs as well. I’d normally never remember (or bother) to do those, if it weren’t for the Yoga routine. So the baby steps actually really help me add a bit of extra exercise to my day.
No wonder it works for me though… Kassandra has been teaching Yoga over a decade and her Youtube Channel Yoga with Kassandra has 1.15 million subscribers. The channel offers free weekly Yin Yoga and Vinyasa Flow classes for all experience levels. I personally love to be greated by her calm and positive energy every morning and once I have established and secured my morning routine, I intend to add 10 minutes of Yoga before going to bed, as well. But let’s not jinx it for now.
I hope you give it a try and let me know if it works for you, as well, in the comments section. Namaste!
