Bailey’s is a drink I never ceased to love. It’s like eating chocolate, but better… It’s creamy, strong, best drunk cold, on ice… Pure happiness in a bottle. But recently my first love got competition. My new discovery reminds me of Bailey’s but it has a certain finesse, a special flavour that makes it even better: Amarula Cream
This cream liqueur originates from South Africa and is made with sugar, cream and the fruit of the Marula tree, also called the Elephant Tree. This is due to the fact that Elephants (and many other animals) love getting drunk on the overripe, fermented fruits of the Marula tree. I can’t blame them!!!
